Took some photos as a height reference for myself. I never noticed before that the MSD body is shorter than the SDM body. It was interesting to see all the skin tones are different too.

Went to a doll meet at My Sweet Memory today, it’s a cute little cafe/stationary store. All their displays are really pretty and the stationary they sell seem to be from Korea. Unfortunately being cloudy and rainy for the morning meant the inside of the cafe was quite dark and alot of my photos were blurry. However I was glad to see our Bluefairy population growing X3

The theme was glass this year. It was taken in front of a stained glass window.

There was also a masquerade competition which I made masks for. They were alot of fun to make but had a hard time staying on the face since they were flat ^^;

This year there was a makeshift lightbox next to the doll table, which is where the above photo was taken =3. Makeshift because it was pretty much made out of cardboard and paper. But as you can see the results look quite nice~

There was also a photo competition and masquerade competition, which I’ll update my journal for later!

And a bit of cosplay photos. The venue was the Australian Technology Park. The inside doesn’t look as nice as Town Hall, however the lighting turned out suprisingly well. Unfortunately I didn’t get many photos cause of attending panels.

This is the BJD table. This year we also had a vendor table, but I didn’t get a good photo of them.

My camera was a success! I hand held for all of these shots and most turned out non blurry <3, which was the main reason I upgraded. Sad to see that many people I know didn't turn up. However the table was very full. But didn't get to meet many new owners, they were probably wandering around seeing the rest of the event. This time I brought Tareneko and Little Alice with me.

Though I mainly go to see the dolls, there were alot of great cosplayers and I had a go at taking some photos. Discovered that my lens doesn’t take full body shots in crowded places which is a shame =(. I was already standing back quite far for all of these. If I backed off any further people started walking in front of me ^^;
But what I was able to take I quite like, so I suppose this lens suits portraits well. I love how everyone I asked to take a photo of posed for me!

When I first got there, there was someone outside the entrance in a yukata playing the guitar. He was probably there to make waiting a bit easier as the line was huge, even though I got there an hour(?) after the opening time. But by the time I came back out to take a photo he was gone =(

Happy Valentines and Chinese New Year everyone ^^

As I had hoped Tareneko’s faceup looks much better with a pink wig. I’m glad because I like the Bluefairy default faceups, would rather not change them =). Though I think I will trim her eyelashes a bit.

Tareneko is here ^^~. She is a Bluefairy Dear Deer girl.
Now I finally have all versions of May XD

Her fur muffler is so soft *o*. Her jacket’s buttons has tiny pictures on it and her boots are really cute. The boots came with an extra pair of laces in brown, so you can change out the black ones, and the soles feel like rubber in that they have grip. I don’t know if it’s made from real leather but it feels quite nice, and the colour is pretty though it looks like it can get scratched easily. The tights are quite nice too, but her pink dress does not stay on. The wig is kind of messy looking, and her faceup is very pink. Maybe it will look less unnatural when I have time to give her a pink wig. Funny thing though, she is strung so loosely that she cannot stand up. The only other time this has happened is for Matatabi. I wonder if it is deliberate since she is sleeping.
