Meet at Annual Doll Fair

Went to a traditional doll fair yesterday to see if there was anything interesting to buy. The only thing I ended up buying were eye sizers which I’ve been looking for anyway. Still it was a large fair and since there were many stores selling antiques there may be something that catches my eye next time.

We took some quick photos before leaving on the front lawn. The two silk dresses worn by Mami and Lieselotte were actually bought at the fair. They were made for traditional porcelain dolls but fit surprisingly well.

Blue Mountains Botanic Garden

Small doll meet at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden yesterday. The Garden mocked my complete lack of preparation for nature by throwing giant bugs at us all day. But other than that the garden was beautiful and the weather was absolutely perfect!

This morning when I unpacked my Aika I found her hands and wrists were stained ;_;
For some reason even though I know BJDs stain, even though I know DDs stain, the thought that Azone might stain never occurred to me.

Doll meet

It’s strange to say these are photos from the meet I attended at the end of last year, because it’s actually only a couple of days ago. At the meet there were twins of Little Alice with Little Lorina, and Papi x2. For some reason Momiji looked so mischievous, like she wanted to smack somebody! Maybe she was mad because I stuffed her in a bear suit, or maybe it’s because the bear suit makes her look much taller and bigger than all other YoSDs. I tried painting a monster high doll there, the faceup is actually pretty messy close up so I only took a whole body shot. I also made the bear she is carrying, I think maybe I overstuffed him, his shoulders and arms look too fat.

As for those dolls I have not yet had a chance to take a photo of, last year I traded my Pipos Rosie partially for Pipos Dark Rabbit, and purchased the Volks standard Mako.

SMASH! 2013

Visited SMASH! last weekend. As usual there was a full doll display table~
I brought Hyacinth with me, my new DDS Mariko.

This year we were also very lucky to have Peakswoods as a vendor! Due to this I came home with a new boy, a FOF Tan Leo ^^;

He is the one in the middle:
